find our lovely woodland trail a refreshing conclusion
to your journey. |

| Our cottages are well spaced along
the wooded shore. There are docks at three locations.
Much of the waterfront activity centers around the main
dock, where on warm sunny days such as the one pictured
here, you’ll often find a water volley ball game
in progress. The small building near shore behind the
sailboat is the motor house, with fish cleaning house
attached. |

Youngsters
and grownups of both sexes share the delights
of fishing and proudly display their catches. |

 A
favorite 2 1/2 to 3 hour canoe trip starts near West Battle
Lake, follows a meandering stream through Glendalough State
Park, past beaver lodges, with sightings of Canada geese, herons,
and eagles, and ends back at Woodlawn. |

shows one of the varied moods of Blanche Lake that you may enjoy
when you look out from your cottage. By contrast, you may also,
from snug inside, see one of our awesome summer storms roll
in across the water. The weather is very much a presence, a
constant source of interest and enjoyment. |
